Director & Designer
Mina Maeda

In an age where mass production and consumption have become the norm, KOTONE is planning and producing clothing while questioning the meaning of making clothes. In 2018, he moved to Australia, where he has been stripping down his lifestyle and feeling closer to nature, and he hopes to continue creating products that place less strain on the wearer, the environment, and the creators.

We use apparel 3D CAD CLO to create 3D images and videos of clothing shapes. This streamlines the traditional process of creating and checking toiles using paper patterns and temporary fabrics, and allows for real-time confirmation even though Japan and Australia are located far apart, reducing the burden on the environment and logistics, and improving communication efficiency.
